Public Engagement
The Social Issues Team deals with 'citizenship' issues in the realms of medical ethics, education, the media, work, law, politics, marriage and parenting, disability, gender and much more.
This strong team, which includes nationally-acknowledged experts in their field, passes on its advice and comment to churches via The Bulletin (formerly the Citizenship Bulletin). It also makes submissions to consultations initiated by government and other authorities.

Affinity Policy Statement - Euthanasia
It is God who gives and sustains life (Genesis 1:21; Psalm 54:4). And because human beings are uniquely made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), all human life has intrinsic dignity and value. Therefore we seek to uphold and promote the utmost respect for human life, from fertilisation until natural death.
