The Affinity Social Issues Team publish a Bulletin three times a year which aims to inform the church on matters of social, ethical and legal concern for Christians. Each issue is free to download either as individual articles or the complete issue.
In the current edition we have an eye-opening article on the issues surrounding freedom of expression within British universities. James Mildred (Chief Communications Officer for CARE) takes a look back at Church history to encourage and challenge us as we engage with culture today. Dr John Ling gives us another of his very informative summaries of all things Covid. We then have two book reviews: the first written by Christian Concern's Tim Dieppe on Ed Husain's 'Among the Mosques: A Journey Across Muslim Britain'; the second on 'For Those Being Crushed: Confronting our "Social Justice" Blind Spot' by Camilla Olim. The Bulletin concludes, as always, with John Ling's update on biomedical ethical matters and the Christian Legal Centre's roundup of current cases in the courts:
The Struggle for Free Speech in Universities
A History of Christian Cultural Engagement
