The new edition of Foundations theological journal is published today

We are delighted to publish today the latest issue of Foundations, the first under the editorship of Donald John MacLean. He writes:

The great need of Christians now (as always) is to “behold our God”. And the theological discipline which most invites us to do this is systematic theology. My intention with this edition is to honour the launch of Bob Letham’s Systematic Theology, with a focus on that particular discipline…

So there is a review of Letham’s new book, along with articles on the role of systematic theology in theological training, the theological method of John Murray (1898-1975),and a piece on John Owen’s covenant theology. We conclude with something under a missiological heading – an argument that missionaries should learn local languages, even where English is spoken. Along with a number of very helpful book reviews, this should give you something to occupy mind and heart during lockdown!

The whole issue is available to read online or to download free of charge:
