Job vacancy: Community Outreach Worker at Bethel Baptist Church

Based in Farnham, Surrey, Bethel is a medium-sized, growing FIEC church with a warm family feel in a community setting. Our vision is for people to believe, belong and grow in Jesus.

We’re looking for a servant-hearted, godly Christian brother or sister to:

• lead us in reflecting on our ministries and identifying how these could be more outward-facing in the light of our church and area;
• helping us grow in confidence in telling our personal stories of meeting Christ;
• supporting/leading our outreach on the Sandy Hill estate; and
• leading our work with teenagers inside and outside the church.

This is a permanent full-time post but we may consider a part-time role. It may suit a youth/families worker looking for a change. Theological training is desirable, not essential. Salary of up to £35,000 p.a. depending on experience and training.

There is an occupational requirement for candidates to be practising Christians. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and will need an enhanced DBS check.
