Does your bank share your heart for the gospel? An introduction to Kingdom Bank

We are delighted to welcome Kingdom Bank as an agency member of Affinity. Here is a brief introduction to the organisation written by the team there.

Kingdom Bank is a Christian Bank with a vision to see the UK filled and thriving with evangelical, Bible-focused churches. We exist to serve Christian ministries across the UK with financial services by providing mortgages for churches and ministry workers so that their ministries can continue to grow and reach more people with the gospel. Churches like Dundonald who, with the help of a Kingdom Bank mortgage, purchased a new building for their ministry. Senior Pastor Richard Coekin said ‘We now have a purpose-built facility which will enable us to proclaim Christ to the next generation.’

Mortgages like these are made possible by Christian individuals and organisations choosing to save with us. We call this gospel partnership; people choosing to put their money to work for the kingdom. As a fully regulated bank, our clients know their money is safe, but also trust that it’s being used in a way which aligns with gospel values, equipping others to share the hope of Jesus where God has placed them. Knighton Free Church, one of our savings customers said ‘Due to charity regulations, we are required to keep some money to hand, but as we had no plans to use it immediately we wanted the opportunity to help other people and invest the money ethically. Kingdom Bank is a great way to do that.’ You can find out more about this gospel partnership on the Kingdom Bank website.

Under new Evangelical leadership since 2020, we’ve seen growth in all areas of our business, and we are so pleased to be able to work alongside many life-changing ministries. This includes our insurance brokerage, where our specialist team of Christians help churches and charities protect organisations and the people they serve. 97% of our insurance customers renewed with us in 2022, and we prioritise trying to understand each customer’s needs.

We recently joined Affinity as an Agency member because we are passionate about partnering with other Christian organisations who support gospel ministry. We have a shared focus of serving evangelical churches, so joining as a member is an opportunity for us to play our part in supporting the work Affinity does, and help to strengthen gospel-hearted organisations.
