Introducing Our New Agency Member: Coalition for Marriage

At Affinity, we are delighted to welcome Coalition for Marriage (C4M) as our newest Agency member. Led by Dr Tony Rucinski, C4M is a Christ-centred ministry dedicated to restoring and strengthening biblical marriage as the cornerstone of thriving families and communities. In a culture where God’s design for marriage – lifelong commitment between one man and one woman – is increasingly under attack, C4M offers a powerful blend of clear biblical teaching and evidence-based social science to equip churches and couples.

Who is Coalition for Marriage?

C4M, under Dr Tony Rucinski’s leadership, is the UK’s leading pro-marriage organisation, supported by tens of thousands committed to upholding man-woman marriage. Tony brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to this vital ministry. Having grown up in a challenging family environment, marked by single-parent struggles and loss, he knows firsthand the impact of family breakdown. Now married for over 30 years and a father of four grown children, Tony’s passion for healthy marriages is both heartfelt and informed by his academic expertise, including a doctorate in leadership development.

C4M’s mission is to champion God’s timeless blueprint for marriage, as affirmed in Hebrews 13:4: ‘Marriage should be honoured by all…’ Their engaging, practical, and accessible approach makes them a valuable partner for churches seeking to nurture strong marriages and counter societal pressures.

What does C4M offer?

C4M provides a range of flexible, donation-supported resources and events designed to educate, encourage, and empower couples and church leaders. Their offerings include:

• Practical tools for couples: Workshops and seminars on communication, conflict resolution, and embracing godly roles within marriage.
• Pre-marriage guidance: Biblical principles and practical considerations for engaged couples or those seeking a spouse.
• Youth-focused teaching: Equipping young people with wisdom for healthy relationships and the benefits of reserving sexual intimacy for marriage.
• Leadership training: Helping church leaders and staff develop skills to support marriages effectively.
• Flexible formats: From single-session talks to weekend retreats, C4M tailors events to suit midweek meetings, Sunday services, men’s or women’s fellowships, or marriage conferences.

These interactive sessions are grounded in Scripture and enriched by rigorous social science, making complex topics accessible to audiences of all sizes. As Tom Brand, EFCC Ministry Director and chair of Affinity, has said, C4M’s ministry is ‘exceptionally useful’ for building healthier families and stronger congregations.
