Join us for a second day of prayer against assisted suicide – Wednesday 11 June
Unite with other Christians in prayer against assisted suicide on Wednesday 11 June and join us in a national day of prayer against assisted suicide.
A final vote on Kim Leadbeater’s Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill is expected on 20 June to decide whether the Bill progresses to the Lords. And in Scotland, a committee of MSPs will consider Liam McArthur’s Bill after it passed Stage 1. Both dangerous Bills could be defeated if only a fraction of those who voted in favour switch sides.
We’ve again joined together with the Christian Institute, CARE, the Christian Medical Fellowship, Christian Concern, the FIEC and the Evangelical Alliance to pray about this life-and-death issue. Will you join us?

Affinity hosted a short prayer meeting on Zoom at 9:30am on Wednesday 11 June 2025, to pray against proposed legislation that could legalise assisted dying. The group sought divine intervention, asking for wisdom and strength for those opposing the legislation and a change of heart among politicians supporting it. They also lifted up Christians working in healthcare, individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts, and the nation, seeking political change and revival.
Affinity member CARE has published ‘Seven ways to pray about assisted suicide’. You may wish to use this to aid your prayers.
The Christian Institute will also be hosting prayer meetings on their YouTube channel at 9am, 1pm, and 6pm. Please join if you can.
