Kingdom: Church in a Fractured World

Written by Affinity

Being citizens of God’s kingdom is a wonderful privilege. It’s also fraught with challenges. Our fallen world’s fractures scream from headlines full of conflict and polarisation. If we’re honest, we can see those same fractures running through our own hearts. With a world like this and hearts like these, what does it mean to be kingdom people? How should we care for our fellow kingdom members? And how should we take the kingdom message to those who still need to hear it?

Affinity’s next Theological Study Conference (10-12 March 2027) is a fantastic opportunity for three days of focused theological reflection on these questions. We’re delighted to welcome the following speakers: Michael Haykin (The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary), Tony Watkins (Tyndale House), Collin Hansen (The Gospel Coalition), Phil Swann (Evangelical Movement of Wales) and Kenneth Harrod (Release International). Alongside these five plenary sessions, the unique format of this conference means that there is also a considerable time of in-depth discussion in both small groups and the plenary sessions. It is genuinely a conference where people confer!

This conference is for men and women who want to think more deeply about these questions. It’s for you – whether you’re a seasoned preacher or a first-time Bible study leader – whether you’re a ministry leader or a theological student or in a secular workplace. The needs of the hour are very great and we all need each other. Let’s come together to encourage one another in godly dependence as we seek to live as kingdom people in this fractured world of ours.Tickets (£279 for early bird bookings) are now on sale at affinity.org.uk/studyconference/ Book on today and join us in March!
